A Note from CEO Robert Becht (June 2023)

May 30, 2023

Here in St. Pete, June means that rain is here.  This is good.

Over the last several months, Menorah has been beautifying our campus with attention being paid to our landscaping – lots of tree trimming, bush removals, and ground cover being added.  Our irrigation systems are being worked on, but not yet fully operational.  Rain is so welcome, hydrating our drought-weathered plants of all shapes and sizes.

This is symbolic of the renewal we are experiencing.  The South side wings have each been renovated and are now reopened.  Our main AC systems are being renewed.  Our connections to our local hospitals and physician groups are being renewed. With the relief from masking and visitation guidelines, we are experiencing a joyful renewal of gatherings on our campus with our Jewish community partners and supporters.

The rain reminds me of how God provides and watches over us.  As the only faith-based, mission-driven senior care facility in Pinellas County, the rain reminds me of how blessed we are to be a part of Menorah and our legacy of care.  So go ahead and enjoy the rain – reach out and catch it in your hands while you can – it is a blessing from above.

Yours in service,
Rob
