Just an FYI that Menorah Life is in now in emergency operations status. We are completing all preparations in advance of Hurricane Ian’s potential impacts. As new information and updates are provided by the National Hurricane Center and local emergency management authorities, we will be constantly evaluating and updating our operations and logistics.
As a reminder, Samson Nursing Center and Toby Weinman Residence are not in a flood zone, and as such, our plan is to shelter-in-place. In an abundance of caution, the residents of Toby Weinman will relocate to the Samson Nursing Center Wednesday morning until the storm passes. All disaster supplies are in place and our generators, which provide 100 percent back up power, are fully maintained and topped off.
Essential staff are working and will also be sheltering onsite throughout the storm. This assures there is sufficient assistance at all times for those we serve.
Our highest priority is the safety of those under our care. The entire team is committed to doing what is necessary to prepare, withstand, and recover from Hurricane Ian. Please check you email for future updates. Given how busy our front reception and phone lines will be, the best source of information will be our Hurricane Ian Hotline: (727) 302-3818 for daily recorded updates as well as our Important News and Information link on our website.
Thank you and be safe,
Chief Executive Officer
